My dogs are dogs owned by you, they are accounted with your account and can be added to your breeding page, no one an edit your dogs but you. Ancestor dogs are dogs owned open database dogs that can be edited by anyone with an account, they may be owned by someone not be on ProLitter. Some examples of why you’d add an Ancestor dog is you have bred with a stud dog who is not on ProLitter, you can add this dog as an Ancestor to use in your litter, or if you want to fill in your Pedigree Snapshots, you may want to add some historical dogs as Ancestor dogs.
